There have been heaps and heaps of photos taken at ACE - we are trying to collate as many as possible and build them into a souvenir to celebrate this great occasion. This will take some time to pull together but we will let people know when we have something available.

Day 7 of Camp – Last Day

Well the time has come to say farewell to all the girls and send them on their way. It was great to have everyone together and even more fantastic seeing them have so much fun and making new friends. I hope everyone had a fabulous time and we are now looking forward to 2013 when we have the chancce to meet up again in Tasmania for a FanTAStic camp!

I am looking forward to having a long dip in the ocean and catching up with my family and friends and showing them all the stories that I have written on the blog and showing them the photos of what we did at ACE.

Day 6 of Camp

Well the day has arrived to invade the City of Geelong and have a race to see as many things as possible. You get to see the sites around the town as wellas answering a whole heap of questions (correctly) to win a prize that will be announced tomorrow.

It was realllllllllly hot but we had a great time.

Some of us went back to camp early but everyone was looking forward to going to the disco later on tonight. As I write this blog I can hear the music playing - I hope the neighbours have their earplugs in!!!

Tonight is the last night and I am determined to make the most of the fun so I am off to join the disco.

Day 5 of Camp

Well Thursday proved to be another great day at the ACE Camp! There was another day of more offsite activities including scuba diving, horse riding, swimming with dolphins and seals and so many more great things to do.

We finished the day with a Guides Own. This was an opportunity fo reveryone to get together and sing songs and during this event the girls were told the story of Pippa. It was a great way to finish off the day.

Time for some shut-eye: did you know that I can sleep standing up? It is certainly an advantage to be able to sleep on your feet!

Day 4 of camp

Well after visiting my relatives on Tuesday I got to see lots of family and friends of the girls today! Family Day was a hoot – an opportunity for the folks to spend time with the girls and visit a lot of activities including old fashioned camping, rock-climbing, bungy jumping, mini golf, a fashion parade of past, present and the new uniform which will be introduced from February this year.

After we farewelled all of the family and friends this afternoon we packed up, had an early dinner and went off to the Adventure Park in Geelong where we had heaps of fun in the water.

These girls have loads of energy and this little penguin is going to be in need of a lot of rest when this camp finishes!

Day 3 of Camp

Well it was fantastic to catch up with so many of the relatives last night! They all told me how great it was to meet all the girls from ACE and how they hoped they enjoyed their visit.

From the photos that were taken it certainly looks like everyone enjoyed all the activities that took place on the way to visit the family – take a look.

Also a big thank you to everyone out there sending in comments – I can’t reply to you all individually but do keep sending in your comments and I will post them on the blog.

Day 2 of Camp

Well we are really in to the swing of things now!

There are girls out and about doing heaps of cool things and from a Penguin’s point of view cool is great!

I am quite a skilled Penguin - as you can no doubt see with my blog and twitter sites. I do need to confess I am still learning about these new technologies and have been a little slow in updating these sites - I need to use my beak (as my wings are a bit useless) to type and I am improving all of the time!

So now to business – I have been out taking photos and I have received a number of great photos from other people. Take a look at these great photos and see what everyone has been up to.

Today we are off visiting my relations (of which there are many!!). I will let you know about that adventure tomorrow.

Day 1 of Camp

Well, thousands of girls have now arrived at camp.

The first day was full of fun. I saw so many of my Guiding friends I hadn’t seen for so long.

It was wonderful to meet our Guiding sisters from many countries including Thailand, Argentina, Cambodia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Canada, the UK, Fiji and New Zealand.

The opening ceremony was awesome. We had a welcome from the Mayor of Geelong, Councillor John Mitchell and also an Aboriginal Elder. We also heard from our Chief Commissioner, Lynne Price and our State Commissioner for Victoria, Noella Kershaw.

Girls, tell me what you liked best!
