Well the time has come to say farewell to all the girls and send them on their way. It was great to have everyone together and even more fantastic seeing them have so much fun and making new friends. I hope everyone had a fabulous time and we are now looking forward to 2013 when we have the chancce to meet up again in Tasmania for a FanTAStic camp!
These are our international visitors who joined us on the wonderful ACE experience
Keep checking the blog to find out about other activities that will be happening in 2010 – my very best friend TORI will be keeping you up-to-date on new things and putting up photos and stories from the events and activities that have taken place. So watch out for Tori’s blog coming soon.
I am looking forward to having a long dip in the ocean and catching up with my family and friends and showing them all the stories that I have written on the blog and showing them the photos of what we did at ACE.
Thank you to everyone who wrote to me it was great to get your comments!
So now I am off for that dip – Big hugs and kisses to everyone. Love Pippa.
Hi everyone I had an awesome time at ACE! Hi to all my patrol members if you are here (gary rules!) Ace was great but now I don’t have my luggage as someone else has taken it by mistake. There is a Victorian contingent bag and a red and blue checked bag in place of a bedroll. Both have my name and subcamp (1950s) on them, and I think they may have gone on the bus to Bendigo. If anyone knows where it might be, please call me on (03)-9436-8623 or 0407-351-428

Thanks for the blog and for the paper, it was fantastic to be able to follow what the UK lot were up to with you. It hs looked fantastic
Thanks to you guys, for the opportunities provided. My daughter is now home and is counting the days ’til the next on in 2013!
thank you everyone for an amazing camp! see you at FanTAStic!
Hey, it’s Killi!
I still can’t believe we almost convinced the UK girls of the drop bears.
Hi Pippa,
My daughter is home safe and well and hasn’t stopped talking about what a great time she had at ACE!
I believe a lot of photo’s were taking throughout the camp, of which only a few made the PEG newsletter and Blog pages. Is it possible to post all the photos taken on camp online (just thumbnail size) so that us parents can download the ones that feature our daughters.
Thanks for looking after my girl so well.
Vicki
Well, my daughter came home absolutely exhausted with plenty to talk about! thanks to everyone involved in the organisation of ACE Camp.
Just wondering what happens about lost property! Annabelle’s dilly bag, complete with bowl, cup, cutlery and tea towel went missing on the second night she was there. Surely it couldn’t have disappeared into thin air! Any ideas??
Melinda is safely home – telling us all about her wonderful time at ACE. Now to download all the photos that she took!
Love the photos of the international Guides. Do you have pics of all the Australian contingents – that would be great to see. Also the different Groups – 1900s., 1920s etc
Thanks so much for a wonderful experience for all the Guides & Leaders.
best wishes
Joy
Hi Pippa,
My two daughters returned home in the wee small hours of this morning and have been spent most of the day catching up on sleep! Claire was a part of the uniform parade (1920s Guide Patrol leader), appeared in ‘The Peg’ on Thursday, and we would like a copy of that photo. How do we get one?
We would also like to submit an article for our local paper, and would like to know of any photos out there of either Ellen or Claire van Werven (NSW/ACT contigent/ 1940s Dk Green) participating in activities. How do we do that??
Last question – when will Thursday’s Peg be available online, and the photo sheet from Friday?
Thank you, and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Wendy
Who noticed the chair tower outside the Registration?
The balloons in the portaloos?
The chairs on top of the ice trailer beside the coffee and tea tent?
The balloon attatched to the sunscreen, on top of the water cooler on the trailer beside the shipment containers?
Guilty.
I was hoping that there would be a newletter posted on the leaving day with those things in it.
Hi All
Sounds like you all had a great time. My daughter Veronica was in the limegreen camp unit 5 patrol 1. Does anyone have a size 6 pink ace shirt from that unit that doesn’t belong to them? If they do could you please contact me so we can make arrangements to get it to her. I also have a size 10 black pair of undies & a single white sock, so if anyone from that unit & patrol are missing them let me know.
Both Kat & Ron are looking forward to have a devil of a time in 2013!
Hey Fellow ACE campers,
I miss being at ACE but not really the toilets, lol. I didnt think the showers were that bad. The washing dishes station was pretty cool. I meet at least five people that I hope to remain friends with and catch up when I visit them or they are in SA.
Will photos be avaliable on a CD or similar? I would like to see other subcamp photos and also the SA contigent photo.
Cheers
Just picked up one tired, but very happy, Canadian Guide (Kelsey) from the airport. She had a blast – thank you so much to everyone involved in ACE.
We’re busy planning our 100 year celebration camp GM2010 for July (our summer) in Ontario Canada. Hope some of you are planning to come join us in the fun on this side of the globe!
