ACE 2010

Day 3 of Camp

Posted by: pipathepenguin on: January 6, 2010

Well it was fantastic to catch up with so many of the relatives last night!   They all told me how great it was to meet all the girls from ACE and how they hoped they enjoyed their visit.

From the photos that were taken it certainly looks like everyone enjoyed all the activities that took place on the way to visit the family – take a look.

Also a big thank you to everyone out there sending in comments – I can’t reply to you all individually but do keep sending in your comments and I will post them on the blog.

Love Pippa

mum

Dear Pippa
Thanks for the updates of ACE. Have scanned all the photos but not found our girl yet. Louise Fletcher in 1940 Dark Green is a helper in a Sub-Camp on paddock 19. She is having a great time according to Facebook. We cannot thank you and your friends in Victoria enough for the wonderful preparation and work that has been put into making this experience for all the girls very memorable. Glad the weather has been reasonable and not 38-40 degrees like over here in the West. All the best for the last two days and thankyou from us here in Lesmurdie.

Susan and Trevor Fletcher

A big HI to all the girls from COROWA. I hope you’re having a great time.

The girls in 1930′s Gold seem to have been forgotten about – almost no Blog entries for your sub-camp at all – so best wishes to each and every one of you.

If you see Lauren Playford give her a hug for me. Lauren – I hope you caught a big fish (and make Dad jealous). Just remember it is normal for fishermen (fisherguides) to exaggerate about their catch!

Karie (Lauren’s mum)

Hi To Melinda in 1940s dark green – only one more sleep at ACE!
Wonder how the ACErace was today? Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. love mum xxx

quote ‘We haven’t had any news on the TV or in the papers about this massive event’
– can’t find any photos on the web other than from Guides sites – not even Melb’s Hearld Sun. ABC 774 radio did have a very short discussion this am – a disappointment –

I’m sure the girls will have lots to tell and share.
Thanks to all involved for their hard work.
I imagine there will be lots of girls saving up for Tasmania in 2013!!
